Abstract

Remote Buddys main purpose is to allow users of remote controlled appliances to easily locate the appliances remote controls by means of an alarm / sound being emitted from the remote control itself, which has been built to incorperate Remote Buddy alarm / sensor. Or by an additional Remote Buddy Alarm attached to the appliances remote control which has not been installed with integral alarm / technology. These alarms / sensors will emit sounds when activated by the user by either activating a button on the appliance itself, which has been installed with new Remote Buddy technology / sensor, or by activating the Remote Buddy Box on or near the appliance.

Remote Buddy and Accessories The invention relates to remote controls of appliances such as Televisions, DVD players, CD players, stereos, and video players.
The invention will allow the user of such appliances to locate the position of the remote control required, therefore saving time, and eliminating the stress and trouble of trying to find misplaced/lost, or hidden remote controls.
The invention would be an additional button located on the appliance,
or an additional box/tranEmtter placed on or near the appliance, that or an additional box/tranfl when activated would trigger an alarm/sound built into the appliances remote control, allowing it to be easily located. Alternatively, if remote has not been built with alarm/receiver inside, an additional alarm/re- ceiver can be attached to it, so it can be located.

No. (2) Shows a Remote Buddy Box as a separate addition to an existing remote controlled appliance that do not have Remote Buddy built in, once again as stated this additional box can be located anywhere, and used to locate any appliances control, once button on box has been activated.

Claims (10)

  1. CLIAMS 1. Remote Buddy is an additional button on any remote controlled appliance that will activate an alarm fitted into that appliances remote control when activated, by means of radio wave, or similar wireless communication.
  2. 2. Existing remote controlled appliances that have not been internally fitted with Remote Buddy can be fitted with an external Remote Buddy Box, and Remote Buddy Alarm, these work on the same principles as built in Remote Buddy.
  3. 3. Built in Remote Buddy activation button on remote controlled appliances is powered internally by the same supply feeding the appliance itself.
  4. 4. Remote Buddy Alarms, built into remote controls are powered by the batteries that power the remote control itself.
  5. 5. Remote Buddy Boxes are either battery powered or optionally mains powered and can be located where ever the user decides.
  6. 6. Remote Buddy Alarms being attached to remote controls externally are battery powered.
  7. 7. Remote Buddy Alarms can be attached to various parts of the remote control to allow flexibility, as remotes vary in shapes and sizes.
  8. 8. External Remote Buddy Alarms, and Boxes may be attached using strong , eW 1, 1r. 4 ilar. double sided tape, or velcrfor similar.
  9. 9. Frequencies may be changed to a set of different ones in the alarm, and box to prevent interfearance from occurring.
  10. 10. Once remote control is located alarm can be re silenced by repressing button that activated it.
