Abstract

The invention comprises a self propelled and guided wheeled vehicle such as a floor cleaner or a small transport device, which is characterised in that it is provided with an optical sensor 1 which detects a route on the floor defined by a reflective tape or trace or the like. The device has its own motor 3 driven by rechargeable batteries which can be charged by an external device 2. The embodiment shown is a vacuum cleaner where 4 is the outlet pipe and 7 is the suction nozzle. The device has an onboard control unit and display showing details of its operation.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
The Cleaner The invention is an automatic system in order to do automatic cleaning operations or to trasport specific equipments.
The main principle of the system is reading information from the floor surface in order to drive the machinery designed to do the specific jobs.
The invention want to reduce the human activity employed to clean plain surfaces or trasport material and equipments.
The main component of the machine is a foto sensible plate that read on the floor specific reflectant abjects, tapes, tails or what ever reflect in order to drive the machinery and do the specific jobs.
In the following figures number 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawing are described the components and an example of the assembly where in is fitted a hoover.
FIGURE NUMBER 1 shows a lateral view of the invention FIGURE NUMBER 2 shows a lateral view of the invention In the figure number 1 is showed a lateral view of the invention where the optical sensor (number 1) read on the floor the information in the form of a trace or bar in order to correct the direction of the machinery during the motion and supply further information to the elettronic controll unit for subsidiary controlls.
The motion is created by a elettrical motor located inside the case of the invention where the necessary energy is supply by batteries recharged by an external equipment (number 2) during the rest time.
In the figure number 1 is showed the elettrical motor of the hoover (number3) the air out-let pipe of the hoover (number 4) and two hooks (number 5 and 6) necessary to open and close the hoover when it needs to be clean, the pipe (number 7) is the vacuum pipe In the figure number 2 is showed a superior view of the invention where we can see the display (number 8) used to program the subsidiary functions of the cleaner and example of the reflecting tape attached on the floor (number 9) used to supply information to the elettronic controll unit that controlls all the actions of the invention.

Claims (4)

  1. CLAIMS 1) The cleaner including the battery charger and the accessories is an automatic system designed to do automatic cleaning operations and or to do automatic trasport of specific equipments using a optical sensor that reads information on the floor surface.
  2. 2) The cleaner as claimed in the claim number one where accessories means that the system can be equiped with various different devices in order to provide different jobs.
  3. 3) The cleaner as claimed in the claim number one where automatic system mean that there is an elettronic central controll unit that decide all the movements and actions of the assembly.
  4. 4) The cleaner as claimed in the claim number one where in optical senson mean that there is one or more sensors utilised to read the reflectant tapes, tails, pait or what ever reflect in order to drive the machine and to provide subsidiary information 5) The cleaner as claimed in the claim number one where in battery charged mean that the system need elettric power in order to recharge the battery in side the invention and use for this necessity a external battery charger 6) The cleaner as claimed in the claim number one where automatic system mean that there is a display used to program subsidiary commands to the elettronic control unit 7) The cleaner is substantially as here in described and illustrated in the accozn paning drawings number 1, 2.
