Abstract

A bedstead formed of a frame with legs wherein the frame is comprised of a plurality of interconnected hollow tubular members through which an oil heating fluid is pumped. A thermostat controls the temperature of the oil. The tubular members may be of square or circular cross-section. A wire mesh may be fitted over the frame to support a mattress. The apparatus could be incorporated into an incubator or other hospital bed.

Structure rigid but lightweight alloy cast for single or double mattress size hollow base surround 1. 5 inches square with lip to encase sides of mattress 3 inches high thus hollow tubes or mattress supports could be also square whichever applicable fine wire mesh spring could also be incorporated under mattress childproof thermostatically controlled and also operated by pump action to regulate oil flow heat volume should not be uncortably hot heat travels up under mattress and around outer edge

  1. Claims 1. Frame of bed constructed of alloy cast members lightweight
  2. 2. Tubular members to allow for the flow of oil throughout 3 Oil flow is controlled by pump action heating 4 Heating controlled by thermostat switch attached below bed headboard 5. Headboard and legs to be detachable to allow for easy movability 6. A fine wire mesh spring could be utilized below mattress top of members for level and even support of mattress 7. Thermostat to have a maxim heat limit so as to be warm and not to be too uncorfortably hot for the occupant.
