Abstract

A washer designed to be easily stored on the air valve of a vehicle, wheel allowing the tyre tread to be checked. The washer may include markings to indicate a minimum tread depth. To use the device, the washer is removed and placed in a tread. If the minimum line is visible, the tyre needs replacing.

Invention : Easily Stored Tyre Tread Safety Check Description: This invention has been designed to aid drivers with the maintenance of their tyres. It will provide drivers with a convenient method of checking their tread. The revolutionary new way of storing the device on the air valve provides simplicity and practicality for the user. This device is similar in structure to a plastic washer.
To use this device the motorist would remove the washer from the air valve and place it in a tread within the centre 3/4 of the tyre. If the minimum line is visible then the tyre needs replacing.
The device would be made of a plastic material, with printed text. It will be double sided if more text is used (e. g. for instructions/advice). The device would be a few mm thick.
The exact diameter of the washer has not been determined.
This device will greatly improve road safety and help motorists to conform to legal requirements. The design will be able to be produced for use in all countries (with only slight textual changes depending on the countries legal requirements. ) Images and sym- bols can be used to make the product understandable to all.

  1. Regarding : Easily Stored Tyre Tread Safety Check.
    The Claims: I. My invention is designed to be easily stored on the air valve of a vehicles wheel.
  2. 2. My invention mentioned in claim 1 allows the tyre tread to be checked.
