Abstract

A convertible table with two bench seats is disclosed which can be converted into a bench seat with a back. The table comprises a table top which is pivotally mounted to the bench seats so that the top can pivot to form a seat back and the two bench seats can come together to form a larger bench seat.

Description

Description The seat is made of prepared deal, but can be made of any timber, hard or soft wood. It can be used as a bench type seat or turned into a table with a seat at either side.
It converts from a bench seat to a table with seats by pivoting at four points.
When returning it to a table it is necessary to insert four pins to make the table more sturdy.
It is possible to pack this as a flat pack by having seven parts.
Consisting of Table top-Two seats and four leg parts with pivoting pieces.
The size of the flat pack would be 48"x 24"x 7" To assemble this flat pack it would need four bolts and twenty four screws to complete, which would be supplied.

Claims (1)

  1. THESEATABLE CLAIMS 1) A bench seat which converts to a table with a seat either side.
    2) The change from a bench seat to a table is obtained by lifting front half of seat and pulling towards you 3) The change from table to bench seat is obtained by lifting table top and pushing away to make the back of seat.
    4) The claims in 2 and 3 are obtained by the seat pivoting at 4 poins 5) The pivoting in claim 4 is obtained by a pin through a metal insert 6) A substantial seat/table as illustrated in drawings.
