Abstract

A long haul flight foot and leg exerciser comprises a lightweight moulded base and two spring biassed foot pedals. The pedals may be fixed in an inoperative position by clips so that the device can be stowed flat. The base may have non-slip pads. The device is used on aircraft and reduces the problems with deep vein thrombosis on long haul flights.

Description

LONG HAUL FLIGHT EXERCISER Due to the problems with deep vein thrombosis on long haul flights, we have devised a leg exerciser which can be stowed flat, is lightweight and should cause no inconvenience to other passengers.
The invention consists of two hinged, spring-loadedpedals, mounted on a moulded fibre, plastic or alloy base, with a non-slip or velcro pad to adhere to carpet as shown in Fig (1).
A feature of the invention is that it can be clipped flat-as shown in Fig (2), so 20 or 30 could be packed into a small carton, or could even be stowed in your seat pocket with your other safety information.

Claims (6)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A long haul flight exerciser comprising of a lightweight moulded base withhinged spring orpresure loaded pedal's, which can be used in sitting position on long flight's without disturbing other passengers.
  2. 2. An exerciser as claimed in Claim 1 has a non-slip underside to it's base to prevent slipping while in use.
  3. 3. An exerciser as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2 can have the pedal's clipped flat to be stored, in the seat pocket or other small area.
  4. 4. An exerciser as claimed in any proceeding claim which is made from plastic, metal or wood or from a combination of these material's.
  5. 5. A long haul flight exerciser as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
  6. 6. A pedalled leg exerciser which could reduce the chance of deep vein thrombosis durin long haul flights.
