Abstract

A disposable container includes a 1 piece plastic mould with a cereal bowl 2 and a milk bowl 1. Between bowl 1 and 2 there are two weakend joint lines 3 and 4 which fold when milk bowl 1 is raised above the level of the cereal bowl 2. The spout 6 is free from the container in the form of the v shaped cut 5 in the container to alow free movement. When in use the cereal and milk in bowls 1 and 2 are sealed in by a foil based material creating an airtight seal to keep in the freshness and prolong shelf life. The container will prefereably also contain a plastic spoon and sachet of sugar in the cereal bowl 2.

Description

Disposable Container This invention relates to a one-piece plastic disposable container to contain breakfast cereal and milk in separate compartments together with a sachet of sugar and a disposable spoon in a format that is easily carried.
Many people skip the first meal of the day due to time restrictions and the disadvantages of having to carry around and use a separate bowl, spoon, cereal and milk. It is not a viable option to find all the necessary items clean and store them in a working environment and so many people find it easier to miss out breakfast altogether.
An object of this invention is to provide a one piece plastic container with two compartments to keep the cereal and milk separate, together with the space for a plastic spoon and sachet of sugar to be enclosed with a removable foil cover allowing a convenient all in one breakfast solution.
Accordingly, this invention provides a larger cereal bowl combined with a joined smaller milk bowl with a z folding motion and a v shaped die cut between each to allow a smooth pouring motion from one section to the other without spillage.
This one piece container will be made from a plastic material and the final product when containing the cereal, milk, spoon and sugar will be covered and vacuum packed with a removable foil based cover over both bowls.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1 shows an overhead view of the whole container FIGURE 2 shows a side view of the whole container FIGURE 3 shows a side view of the whole container at the first stage of the pouring motion FIGURE 4 shows a side view of the whole container at the final stage of the pouring motion FIGURE 5 shows a close up of the middle section showing the v shaped die cut and the positions of the weakened lines.
As shown in figure 1 the one-piece container comprises of a larger cereal bowl 2 and a smaller milk bowl 1. Between bowls 1 and 2 are two specially weakened lines 3 and 4 stretching the width of the container allowing an easy folding motion.
There is a v shaped cut 5 between the weakened line 3 and 4 which allows the spout of the milk bowl 6 to'pop up'during the first stages of the pouring motion as shown in figure 3.
Figure 3 shows the first stages of the pouring motion where the milk bowl 1 is lifted above the position of the cereal bowl 2 by using crease line 3as a hinge, and v shaped cut 6 allowing the spout free movement to approach the cereal bowl 2 Figure 4 shows the final stages of the pouring motion where milk bowl 1 is tilted at a 45 degree angle by using crease line 4 as well a crease line 3 creating a unique z folding action.
At this stage milk will pour from milk bowl 1 into the cereal bowl 2 over spout 6.
The milk at this stage will be combined with the cereal in cereal bowl 2 and the milk bowl 1 will return to its original position as in figure 2 to allow the consumption of the cereal.

Claims (6)

  1. Claims 1. A one piece container that provides a larger cereal bowl combined with a joined smaller milk bowl with a'z'folding motion and a'v'shaped die cut between each to allow a smooth pouring motion.
  2. 2 A container as claimed in claim 1 where the two creased weakened lines in the top of the container fold into a reverse z shape
  3. 3. A container as claimed in claim 1 where the spout on the milk container is free from the rest of the mould due to the v shaped cut in the mould
  4. 4. A container as claimed in any preceding claim for holding such foods as breakfast
