Description

iOA0, CAMEJ escriptionof"StakeOut"Game Requirements I A board marked with four lanes or tracks, and divided into fourteen squares. The bottom squares are the"Starting Boxes"The top squares are the "Winning Line" In between the 5th and 6th squares and 10th and II th squares is a strip marked fence.
2. Four sets of thirteen cards of different colours, eg red, yellow, blue and black. Ten of these cards are marked from 1-1, to 10-1 Three cards are marked"Falls at fence", 1-1 3. Four figurine moveable horses, same colours as card.
4. Six sets of cards of four colours per set, as horses and other cards. These are marked"Stake slips".
5."Stake money". This is paper money in 1 to 15 notes, which represents proper money and used as the players"stake"when betting. Board measurements are approximately 82 cm long x 28 cm wide, folded at the fences which are a pop-up feature approximately 1 cm high.
Rules Appoint a"Bookie"The"Bookie"is the person who will turn the cards, and pay out the money to the winners.
The"Stake money"is divided between the players and the"Bookie"with the Bookie getting four or five times more than the players. Each player is given four"stake slip"cards, one of each colour The players place their"Stake"money in front of them and cover it with the"Stake slip"card of the colour of the horse they hope to win The"Horses"are placed in the starting boxes at the start of the board.
The"Bookie"shuffles the cards and turns them face up one at a time revealing the colour. The "Horse"of the colour revealed moves up one square. If a card with the words"Falls at fence"is
turned up when a"Horse"is moving from one square to another over the"Fence", then the"Horse" is out of the race. The"Falls at fence"card is used like any other card except if it is turned up when the"Horse"is moving from one square to another across the fence, then it is deemed to have fallen and is out of the race The last card turned up which takes a"Horse"to the winning line is the card the"Bookie"pays out on, eg 1-1, 3-1 or 8-1, etc. 1-1 means the"Bookie"gives you the same amount of money back as you have put on as a stake. If you win 2-1 you get two times more than your stake and 3-1 the "Bookie"gives you three times more than your stake, and so on.
If a card with"Falls at fence", 1-1, is the last card then the"Bookie"pays out (1-1).
The winning players also retain their "Stake". The "Bookie" collects the losers "Stake" money.
A player can also have a"Blind bet" ; fc placing his stake slip card on his bet face down without looking at it until the race is over.
A player can bet on more than one horse in a race and use any method they wish, eg one ordinary bet with the"Stake slip"face up and another"Blind bet"with the"Stake slip"face down In the event of the"Bookie"going broke, the player with the most money could take over or the "Bookie"could sell over to the highest bidder This should be decided by the players before the start of the game.
