Covers.-In a loose cover for periodicals &c. of the kind wherein the book is held by a wire or rod secured at its looped ends by nuts engaging screws carried by a wooden or other rigid member forming the back, to prevent loss of the nuts d they are formed with grooves h round which the looped ends of the wire e are secured. To allow for variation in the distance between the screws c, one or both of the loops g may be elongated as shown in Fig. 1. Guard sheets i bearing advertisements may be secured to the sides a of the cover.
