Abstract
A vehicle security system includes a switch D which may be a motion detector responsive to movement of the vehicle's wheels. The switch actuates a processor C including a WAP phone linked to the internet. The processor turns on cameras A, B inside the vehicle which record and send images to a central station.
Description
A VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM.
This Invention relates to a vehicle security system.
Vehicle security systems are an every day part of life, comprising of a power source, switch and an alarm/siren
However they are expensive and there affect is not a great as it used to be and the criminal body has found lots of ways to beat them. So they don't act as a big deterrent no more.
According to the present invention there is provided a vehicle security system,
Comprising of a power source, a switch, a WAP phone and/or modem, hard drive and at least one camera. the information from cameras is stored in the hard drive but remains accessible at all times via the WAP phone and the modem.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to
Diagram A. in which:
P= the power source, which is the car battery and also a back up battery, which is triggered by,
D= the switch, which is a motion sensor triggered by any movement of the wheels of the vehicle, this in turn boots up,
C= the processor, which comprises of a WAP phone and/or modem and a hard drive, this records information supplied by, A+B= the cameras.
Referring to Diagram B. this system works by, as soon as the vehicle moves and the system springs into life, every movement of the vehicle is recorded, for example, a vehicle fitted with this system is reported stolen by the owner, when the Police enter the details of the vehicle they will be shown an access code, only authorised personal will be shown this code, this access code gives access to the processor on board the vehicle, similar to down loading a web site, the police can then watch live action from in side the vehicle or pre-recorded action via the hard drive, this will help them track down the vehicle, and also give them video evidence to apprehend and convict the criminal body. Also with this system using a WAP phone as a mobile modem it will also be possible for the police to talk to the criminal by adding a hands free kit to the WAP phone, there is also the possibility of adding a fuel cut off switch to this system, to make retrieval of the vehicle a lot easier
This system can be installed as a simple computer program, acting as a standard web site with the access codes acting as web pages on the site.
This system will deter vehicle related crimes such as, car theft, driving offences, abduction, road rage, car jacking, hit and runs, ram raiders, and possibly every other vehicle related crime known to man.
Therefore lowering a large percentage of the countries crime rate, which a number of countries need at the moment.
Claims (4)
1. A vehicle security system comprising of one or more cameras, a hard drive, a WAP phone, and/or modem, making the system accessible via the internet, and having the possibility of adding features such as, a fuel cut off switch and the possibility to contact the criminal body via the WAP phone.
2. A vehicle security system as claimed in claim one wherein the systems consists of at least one camera and a recording system.
3. A vehicle security system as claimed in claims one and two were video evidence from inside the vehicle can be used to apprehend and convict a criminal.
4. A vehicle security system substantially described herein with reference to the accompanying drawings.
