Abstract

236,919. Amme, Giesecke, & Konegen Ges., and Strohbach, P. July 12, 1924, [Convention date]. Machinery, utilizing inertia to obtain movements in.-Reciprocating or oscillating masses such as sifting screens are balanced by flexibly or resiliently connecting two such masses in such a way that the oscillations positively imparted to one set up oppositely directed oscillations in the other. In the construction described, two screens a, f are suspended by flexible or resilient supports d, e, g h, from bars i, k supported by means of a knife edge on bearings l, m on the frame of the machine. The flexible or resilient suspensions of the two sieves are connected by means of adjustable rigid clamps n, o and the screen a is positively driven by an eccentric rod b.
