Abstract

The spider catcher uses air to encourage entrapment. In use the device is placed over the spider and the user blows through an air tube with a mouthpiece so that the spider is dislodged or crawls into a pivoting catch tray. The catcher may be made of clear plastic, have an adjustable length air tube and a removable, washable mouthpiece. Once caught the spider can be disposed of unharmed.

<Desc/Clms Page number 1> Spider Catcher This invention relates to a Spider Catcher which includes an adjustable length pole, Spider holder, and plastic air tube with rubber mouth piece.
This Spider Catcher is unique in as much as it keeps the Spider at a comfortable distance from the user, causes no harm to the Spider, has minimal moving parts and is light and easy to use. The Spider once trapped and covered by the Spider Catcher contraption against all types of surfaces is then encouraged to drop or crawl into the holder by means of a blow of air from the user.
The Spider Catcher will all be made of clear plastic with an adjustable length arm and a removable and washable rubber mouth piece.
A preffered embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which; FIGURE 1 shows a side view of the contraption FIGURE 2 details a Spider being caught against a wall FIGURE 3 shows adjustable manoeuvring arm FIGURE 4 shows the user blowing into the rubber mouthpiece The Spider catcher is the taken outside and left or inverted or shaken to encourage the spider to vacate the spider holder.

A Spider catcher includes Mouthpiece a blow tube, adjustable manoeuvring arm and a pivoting catch tray. The catch tray is adjustable to ensure the correct angle is attained before entrapment is conducted by the user.
The spider catcher enables the user to keep a comfortable distance knowing no harm will come to himself or herself or to the spider.
The spider can be caught easily with a blow of air and released into the outside world.

  1. Claims 1. A Spider Catcher which uses air as its means of encouraging entrapment.
  2. 2. A Spider Catcher which includes mounting brackets for storage.
