Abstract

Seat adjustments; folding seats rests, arm; spring mountings for seats; carrying handles for seats.-In wheeled chairs of the folding crossframe type the seat 16 is pivoted to the back frame and carries locking pins 20 which secure it to a transverse bar 45 spring-mounted upon the other frame. Arm rests 15 are connected to both frames by pivoted links 47, 48 which have a hook and pin engagement 31, 32 and a locking pin 49. Telescopic carrying handles 22 are mounted between the frame pivot and the front axle and both front and rear axles are spring mounted in brackets on the frame members. The back carries springs 8 on a fixed cross bar 35 at the lower end, and springs 6 on an adjustable cross bar 40 at the upper end. Specifications 21920/12, 104,946 and 204,952 are referred to.
