235,359. Sunbeam Motor Car Co., Ltd., Coatalen, L., and Huggins, A. May 3, 1924. Spray carburettors.-In engines, particularly for use on aircraft, supplied with mixture by a blower or pump, the pump 3 is provided with a jacket 5 through which the fuel on its way to the carburettor 1, 2, is passed. The fuel is heated, thus enabling comparatively heavy fuels to be used, the additional weight of a special cooling medium for the pump is obviated, and atomization of the fuel is facilitated by the vanes of the pump. The jacket 5 may be replaced by a coiled pipe.
