234,955. Griffith, E. M. B. April 15, 1924. Strainers; cutting slices. - A scoop for skimming the surface of soups, milk, jam or the like consists of a substantially semi-cylindrical vessel a the flat side b being provided with a sharp top f whereby the device is adapted for slicing eggs or vegetables. The scoop may be provided with graduations to adapt it for use as a measuring-vessel, or perforations may be provided in the side b to allow the thinner liquid skimmed from the soup &c. to drain away. A handle d is provided to enable the scoop to be hung on the rim of a vessel, and the corners c are rounded to permit of good pouring. The flat side b may be separate from and secured to, or integral with, the semicylindrical portion.
