Pulping coffee.-A machine for pulping coffee comprises a rotary cylindrical brush or scraper 7 of rustless steel &c. bristles that coacts with the upper serrated part of an adjustable breast 10, the perforated extension 9 of which serves to separate the beans from the pulp which is carried over to a shoot 14. Each end of the breast is supported by springs and adjusting nuts. The wires of the brush 7 may be set in a backing 8 of rubber that fits on the drum 1. A comb 15 is provided to clear the pulp from the cylinder 7. According to the Provisional Specification the breast may be lined with rubber.
