Abstract

The security device has a strengthened moulded body 1. which when fitted onto the motorcycle handlebar and locked over the grip and lever prevents the accelerator and brake or clutch from being used. The coated metal strap/chain 4 when fitted to the opposite handlebar by means of the ring loop 5. increases the protection of the motorcycle and prevents The Gripper from being removed.

Description

THE GRIPPER This invention relates to a locking device which locks over the brake and handlebar grip of a motorcycle/bicycle, thus providing a security system.
This is a security device which secures a motorcycle by disenabling the brake, clutch and accelerator of the vehicle. The main body of The Gripper covers the handlebar and lever of the motorcycle/bicycle and the attached strap loops over the opposite handlebar, further preventing the removal of The Gripper.
This is a highly visible device, difficult to remove, due to the structure and design of the device.
More specific details will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig 1.-Shows The Gripper closed over the handlebars of the motorcycle.
Fig 2.-Shows The Gripper open.
Fig 3.-Shows The Gripper with the chain looped over the opposite handlebar of the motorcycle.
Referring to the drawings, The Gripper comprises of a moulded body 1. with inner strengthened metal structure 2. The locking mechanism 3. is built into the moulded body.
When The Gripper is placed over the handlebar, and clutch lever of the motor cycle and locked into place, the chain 4. is passed across to the opposite handlebar, the ring loop 5. secures over the lever and handlebar.

Claims (5)
