Abstract

The product or products are ignited using an ignition system forming part of the product, packaging or container or any combination thereof by with or without the aid of an intermediate ignition system (e.g. an oxygen containing part to enhance combustion). The product, packaging or container or any combination thereof may also be waterproofed or made water-repellent by whatever means is desired, in order to aid reliable and sustainable ignition of the product.

Description

Supplementary Ignition Independent Reliably Combustible Products This invention relates to any product or products that are ignited using an independent ignition system not forming part of the product.
In many cases having an independent ignition system is undesirable due to the fact that it may be lost or misplaced rendering ignition of the desired product impractical or impossible, also leaving open the ignition process to external influences that may cause failure of ignition. This invention solves this problem by primarily producing intimate contact between the ignition source and the desired object of ignition. Also, the object of ignition may suitably modified so as to present great ease of ignition for that specific ignition system.
The object of this invention is that instead of carrying any supplementary ignition system with any product that one would ignite using such a system, it is made such that the ignition system is incorporated with the product such that it forms part of the product, the packaging, the container or any combination thereof. Additionally, the product packaging, container or any combination thereof, can be waterproofed through the addition of any waterproofing or water repellent substance, or a combination thereof.
This is done by attaching to any desired product, package or container, or any combination thereof : at a suitable point or points on any of the above, or any combination thereof, an ignition system using any possible means of ignition known or as yet unknown, or any combination thereof. Also, if found necessary or desirable for any reason whatsoever it is possible to add an intermediate system to accomplish any necessary or desired result or effect or any combination thereof.
Accordingly, this invention provides a practical and reliable means of igniting and sustaining ignition and combustion of any desired product without the use of any additional system or product apart from that made available as part of the product, packaging or container, or any combination thereof, using this invention, rendering the product more useful and practical.
An example of how this invention can be applied are cigarettes, as illustrated by the figures on page 2.
The box (1) has on its side a striker pad (2) such that the ignition tip (4) can be struck on the pad (2).
In this way ignition of the tip (2) will result in reliable ignition of the cigarette (5) through the ignition of an intermediate system (3) which adds oxygen to the system such that reliable and sustainable combustion takes place without the user having to inhale (in order to draw oxygen through the cigarette (5) manually). Also, the cigarette (5) and intermediate system (3) and ignition tip (4) can be made completely waterproof, or water repellent, or a combination thereof. NB this cigarette is also completely windproof.

Claims (6)

  1. CLAIMS 1. An ignition system made to form one or more parts of a product, packaging or container or any combination thereof, where the product is normally ignited from a separate and/or supplementary ignition system not originally forming part of the product.
  2. 2. There may be an intermediate system forming part of the product, packaging or container or any combination thereof, in order to accomplish any necessary or desired results or effects or any combination thereof.
  3. 3. The product, packaging or container or any combination thereof, can be made waterproof or water-repellent through the addition of any waterproofing or water-repellent substance, or any combination thereof.
  4. 4. The products manufactured using the above systems are reliably and safely ignitable and not susceptible to the external influences that result in failure of products not using these systems.
  5. 5. Because the above systems are specifically tailored to give the ideal conditions best suited to the product into which they have been incorporated, the shortcomings of universal supplementary ignition systems (for example a cigarette lighter or match) are totally non existent in the above mentioned cases.
  6. 6. The products with the incorporated ignition systems as described in claims 1,2 and 3 above are safe in that ignition may not accidentally or inadvertently be initiated without gross negligence on the part of the user or another party.
