Abstract

A dog lead is formed from a length of chain with a clip or strap with hook and burr type complementary fixings. It has a releasable and variable size loop for use as a handle or for attaching the lead to a post say.

1. 2341781 Dog anchor lead This invention relates to a dog lead.

Dog leads are commonplace but are designed for the dog at one end and dog walker at the other. There is no easy method for attaching the dog lead to a high or wide fixed object without first removing the lead from the dog and then reattaching the dog to the lead. During this process the dog is not properly restrained.

The present invention provides for a dog lead which can form a loop at the end not attached to the dog's neck and which allows for the length of the lead to be lengthened or shortened without releasing the dog from the restraint supplied by the lead.

gTfA The lead can be made from a strap with velcro type attachments, see figs 1, 2 and 3, or of a length of chain with a spring clip attached to the handle end of the lead, see figs 4, 5 and 6., or of a type that allows for any easy linking device to be incorporated on to a length of lead.

   1. A dog lead including attachments at one or more points on the lead allowing the lead to form a quick lock and release restraining loop at the end furthest from the dog. See fig. 3.
