device.
Typical tile cutter devices are disposed and operated on the ground such that the operators may not easily operate the tile cutter devices.
It is accordingly an object of the present invention to provide a tile cutter device for allowing the user to easily operate the tile cutter device.
According to the present invention there is provided a cutter device comprising:- a) a table including at least one board disposed on top thereof, b) a track disposed on the board, c) a slide slidably engaged on the track, is d) a holder pivotally coupled to the slide at a shaft, and e) a cutter secured to the holder for engaging with and for cutting a work piece.
A protractor is further pivotally secured to said table at a fastener for measuring an angular position of the work piece relative to the table. A rule is slidably secured to the protractor. A securing means is further provided for securing the protractor to the table. The protractor includes a number of cavities, the securing means includes a sleeve engaged in the board, a post slidably engaged in the sleeve and having a head for engaging with the cavities, and a spring 2 - means for biasing the head of the post to engage with the cavities and for positioning the protractor to the board.
A cutter apparatus is further slidably engaged on the track and includes a center extended downward and includes a cutter secured thereto, for allowing said cutter to be rotated around said center and for cutting a circular hole.
A second board is disposed on top of said table, said table includes two beams, two followers slidably engaged in the beams, and two bolts rotatably engaged in the beams and engaged with the followers for moving the followers along the beams, two brackets pivotally secured to the followers at a pin and each including a is curved slot, two guides engaged in the curved slot for limiting the rotational movement of the brackets, the brackets are secured to the second board to be about the pin.
In the FIG. 1 FIG. 2 FIG. 3 FIG. 4 FIG. tile cutter Referring the second board for allowing rotated relative to the table drawings:is an exploded view of a cutter device; is a perspective view of the cutter device; is a schematic view of the cutter device; is a partial exploded view of the device; is a partial cross sectional view of the device. to FIGS. 1 and 2, a cutter device for - 3 cutting an object, such as a tile, comprises a table 20 including two or more legs 22 having a foldable support 221 for allowing the legs 22 to be folded to a storing structure and including one or more boards 21 disposed on the legs 22. Two beams 23 are disposed on top of the legs 22. Two followers 25 are slidably engaged in the beams 23 and two bolts 24 are rotatably engaged in the beams 23 and engaged with the followers 25 along the secured to the followers 25 27 each includes a hole 272 and for pivotally securing includes a curved slot 271.
the followers 25 for moving beams 23. Two bases 26 are by screws 251. Two brackets for engaging with pins 282 to the bases 26, and each Two guides 28 are secured to the bases 26 and engaged in the curved slot 271 for is limiting the rotational movement of the brackets 27.
The brackets 27 may also be directly pivotally secured to the follower 25, and are secured to one of the boards 21, such as the rear board 21, by fasteners 273 such that the board 21 may be rotated relative to the table 20 for engaging with the work piece to be cut.
The front board 21 is secured on top of the beams 23.
Two blocks 30 are secured to the board 21 by two fasteners 31 each is engaged in a hole 211 of the board 21 and each includes a bolt 313 extended downward for engaging with a nut 314 which may lock the fasteners 31 to the board 21 and each includes a bolt 312 extended upward for engaging with a screw hole 301 of the block and for securing the block 30 to the board 21. The blocks 30 each includes two orifices 32 for engaging with a track formed by two rods 40. A cutter mechanism 50 includes a slide 51 having two holes 511 for slidably engaging with the rods 40 and having two flaps 512 extended downward. A holder 52 is pivotally coupled to the flaps 512 by an ear 523 and a shaft 514 and includes a bulge 524. A cutter 522 such as a cutter blade or a cutter wheel is secured to the holder 52 and a handle 521 is secured to the holder 52 for rotating and moving the holder 52 and for forcing the cutter 522 to engrave the tile. The holder 52 may be moved without the handle 521. After a line is engraved in the tile 515, the tile 515 may be engaged with the slide 51 (FIG. 3) so as to be broken along the engraved line by the bulge 524.
A cutter apparatus 60 is slidably engaged on the track 40 by a brace 61 and includes a center 63 for centering purposes and includes a cutter blade or a cutter wheel 65 secured to the brace 61 by a bracket 64 such that the cutter apparatus 60 may rotate the cutter to cut a circular hole.
A protractor 72 (FIGS. 1 and 4) includes a curved groove 73 and is rotatably secured to the board 21 by a fastener 721 which is engaged with a hole 212 of the board 21. A fastener 74 is engaged through the groove 73 and engaged with a hole 213 of the board 21 for securing the protractor 72 to the board 21 at any selected angular position. The protractor 72 includes a channel 75 for slidably engaging with a rule 71 which may be secured to the protractor 72 by a fastener 711.
The protractor 72 includes a number of cavities 95. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, a sleeve 91 is engaged in a step hole 214 of the board 21 and includes a notch 913 formed in the bottom for engaging with a pole 938.
