Abstract

233,369. Talbot, E. July 29, 1924. Piston packing.-A packing ring comprises segments J<2> having stepped joints J and expanded by a spring K of wave form. A pair of rings may be mounted in the same groove arranged to break joint, relative rotation being prevented by a dowel pin L. The packing may be employed for square, oval or other pistons.
