Abstract

The device works on the principle of reducing the heat dissipation occurring during the heat transfer process by heating a contained smaller volume of liquid. As the heating element raises the temperature of the small volume the heat energy within this volume increases. The pressure of this smaller volume increases causing the valve to open and release a hot concentrated jet stream of liquid into the head of liquid above the valve orifice. This causes a faster mixing of heated fluid and results in reducing the total heating time of the liquid. Hence saving on the power consumed in the heating process. The device is held in place in the container by means of 3 supports, only one of which is shown. The valve may be omitted or held open.

Description

FLUID OR LIQUID HEATING; ENERGY SAVING DEVICE This invention relates to a fluid or liquid heating energy saving device.
It is well known that numerous devices exist on the market place today, that reduce energy consumption, during the process of heat transfer of a fluid.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing number 97/002.
The sketch shows two views, diagrammatically representing a typical application.
The plan view 'A' shows the general coverage of the device over a typical existing heating element. Also illustrating the central orifice and showing the support members that maintain the position of the device in relation to the surrounding container.
The section B-B illustrates the view looking along the cut line B-B. This shows the general profile of the device and thickness. A valve in the central orifice position is included that could be removed or locked open if so desired.
The material is heat resistant, lightweight, easy to clean, non toxic and corrosion resistant.
The energy saving device is a device that can be fitted to existing heating appliances or installed at the manufacturing stage.
The device will generally conform to the indicated shape as shown on the submitted sketch 97/002.
The device works on the principle of reducing the heat dissipation occurring during the heat transfer process by heating a contained smaller volume of liquid. As the heating element raises the temperature of the small volume the heat energy within this volume increases. The pressure of this smaller volume increases causing the valve to open and release and release a hot concentrated jet stream of liquid into the head of liquid above the valve orifice. This causes a faster mixing of heated fluid and results in reducing the total heating time of the fluid or liquid. Hence saving on the power consumed in the heating process.

Claims (1)

  1. The device consists of the general outline and shape as shown in the submitted sketch 97/002; comprising of a support system, central orifice and valve.
The central orifice could also house a telescopic system to cater for a varying head of fluid or liquid within the container.
The device could also be manufactured with a complete container and heating system.
The device could be manufactured as a separate attachment to an existing heating container.
