Abstract

A carrying handle for use with carrier bags is either in the form of an elongate rod having a transverse notch adjacent each end, or a generally tube-like member having an elongate slot through which the handles of a carrier bag can be passed into the interior of the tube.

Description

CARRIER BAG RANtE. Xatenal Turned wood or injection moulded plastic.
0/L Length 167mm Width 28mm Internal hole diameter 10mm External slot width 14mm Internal slot width 5mm Shape of handle is such that it affords easy grip in either design.
The two slots are tapered in from the outside so as to allow easy acess of the bags two loop type handles into the centrally located holes. 3ecause of the narrow neck the bags are easily slid into the holes where they remain even when the load of up to three bags per handle are put down during the transport of the goods therein contained. At the final destination the loops are easily removed one at a time from each end of the handle.
One or two handles are small enough to be fitted in a handbag even a purse or pocket, as they weigh only a few ounces each.
The handles could be packed in a clear plastic bag with attached label showing there use and obvious advantage when carrying several bags in the hand.
CARRIER BAG CARRYING EAKDLE Material injection moulded plastic giving a smooth clean finish combined with light weight and giving niaximum strength. e O/all length 100mm O/all diameter 30mm Internal hole 16mm x 12mm Oval.
Slot running along the top 12mm wide at the widest point.
Internal slot 5mm wide.
The shape and size of the handle is such that it can be fitted in a pocket or purse for easy carrying.
The shape of the handle is such that it fits comfortably in the hand resting across the fingers spreading the weight of the bags being carried.
The slots across the top of the handles allow easy access of the carrier bag loops and once fitted the handles will hold these loops without any difficulty The tapered slot across the top of the handle allows easy access of the carrier bag handles and to release them you simply turn them through 90 degrees and lift. The handle releases the carrier bag loops easily.
The handles would be packed in a clear plastic bag with attached label showing there use and obvious advantage to an other wise painful task.

    Claims.
A small shaped handle with a long tapering slot going into an elongated hole which passes through the middle of the handle. The tapered outer slot allows easy access of the carrier bag loops to pass into the inner hole of the handle.
Several bags can be secured into each handle. Once the loops are inside they will stay secure until they need to be released at your journeys end. To release the bags being carried you simply place the bags on the floor and turn the handle through 90 degrees and lift the handle upwards. the loots of the bags will simply pass through the slots in the handles. During your journey you can safely put the bags being carried down at any time knowing that the handle will fold the bags together and secure. The handle could take a variety of shapes that fit into the hand easily and would be small enough to put it into your pocket or bag or purse when not in use.
