Abstract

The trolley has upper and lower telescopic handles A,D which may be of box-section steel. The axle C and the motor are attached to stabiliser legs B,E which are pivotally attached to the upper and lower handles A,D, respectively, via bearing rings G,F. Installation of the power pack to the upper handle legs B is required when the trolley is opened for use and for stowage. A foldable bag support is provided.

Description

THIS INVENTION RELATES TO A FULLY TELESCOPIC FOLDING,POWERED(i.e. electric) GOLF TROLLEY.
THERE ARE MANY VARIATIONS IN THE GOLF TROLLEY INDUSTRY,EACH FILLING ITS OWN PLACE IN THE MARKET.
MANUAL AND POWERED(i.e. electric)ARE THE TWO MAIN DIFFERENCES IN TROLLEYS,BUT FURTHER TO THIS,TROLLEYS DIFFER IN THE WAY THAT THEY FOLD DOWN,i.e. ONE PIECE FOLDING OR A TWO PIECE MACHINE AND SO ON,AS ALMOST ALL NEED TO FIT INTO CAR BOOTS,IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THE AREA OF SPACE WHICH THE FOLDED MACHINE WILL CONSUME.
IN THE COLLAPSED POSITION THE TELESCOPIC ACTION OF THIS DESIGN ENABLES THE LOWER HANDLE TO RETRACT UP INTO THE UPPER HANDLE, THIS ACTION ALSO CAUSES THE TWO LEG ASSEMBLIES TO PULL ON THE AXLE,THUS LIFTING THE AXLE UP TO REST AGAINST THE HANDLE ASSEMBLIES.
FIGURE 1 SHOWS THE TROLLEY IN ITS NORMAL WORKING POSITION: FIGURE 2 I)THE UPPER BAG SUPPORT IN THE FOLDED AND OPEN POSITION: J)THE PLUNGER WITHDRAWN: K)THE PLUNGER LOCATED: FIGURE 3 COMMENCE THE TELESCOPIC ACTION PUSHING DOWN, SHOWING HOW THE LOWER HANDLE D,RETRACTS UP INTO THE UPPER HANDLE A,ALSO SHOWING HOW THE BEAM AXLE C,IS DRAWN UP TO REST AGAINST THE HANDLE ASSEMBLIES: FIGURE 4 SHOWS THE TROLLEY IN ITS FULLY COLLAPSED POSITION: FIGURE 5 SHOWS THE UPPER HANDLE A,AND THE LEG ASSEMBLIES B, THE OUTER BEARING RINGS F,WELDED TO B, THE AXLE C,WITH RETAINING BUSHES L, THE LOWER HANDLE ASSEMBLY D,AND LEG ASSEMBLIES E, THE OUTER BEARING RINGS G,WELDED TO E, AND THE PLUNGER LOCATION HOLE H.
FIGURE 6 SHOWS THE AXLE WITH THE ELECTRIC MOTOR FITTED M, FIGURE 7 SHOWS THE AXLE WITH ELECTRIC MOTOR M, FITTED WITH THE RETAINING BUSHES L,LOCATED THROUGH BOTH SETS OF OUTER BEARING RINGS FIG 5 F & G, FIGURE 8 SHOWS THE NYLON BEARINGS N, FITTED EITHER SIDES OF THE OUTER BEARING RING COMBINATIONS FIGURE 9 SHOWS THE POWER PACK UNIT P,WHICH INCLUDES THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT Q,THE BATTERY TRAY R,AND THE POWER PACK LOCATING HOOKS S, THE TROLLEY HAS THREE MAIN COMPONENTS, THE UPPER HANDLE A, INCLUDING, B,UPPER HANDLE LEGS, L,REATAINING BUSHES, F,BEARING RINGS, C,AXLE, THE LOWER HANDLE D,INCLUDING, E,LOWER HANDLE LEGS, G,BEARING RINGS, PLUNGER LOCATION HOLE, THE POWER PACK P, INCLUDING, Q,ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT, R,BATTERY TRAY, S,POWER PACK LOCATION HOOKS,

Claims (6)

  1. CLAIMS 1 AN ELECRICLY OPERATED GOLF TROLLEY i.e. POWERED BY BATTERY, THE THREE MAIN PARTS OF THE TROLLEY BEING BEING THE HANDLE ASSEMBLIES FIG 5,A & , THESE TWO COMPONENTS DESIGNED TO OPERATE IN A FULLY TELESCOPIC ACTION,AND THE POWER PACK P,
  2. 2 A TROLLEY AS CLAIMED IN 1,FULLY TELESCOPIC,BEING THAT FIG 5,A FEMALE AND FIG 5,D MALE.
  3. 3 A TROLLEY CLAIMED WHEN REQUIRED FOR NORMAL WORKING POSITION FIG 1 ,REQUIRES THE PLUNGER TO BE WITHDRAWN FIG 2,B AND THE TWO HANDLE ASSEMBLES TO BE PULLED APART FIG 3, IN THE FULLY TELESCOPIC ACTION,UNTIL THE PLUNGER FIG 2,C CLICKS INTO THE LOCATION HOLE IN THE LOWER HANDLE TUBE FIG 5,H,AND THE POWER PACK P,USING THE POWER PACK LOCATION HOOKS S IS MOUNTED ON THE UPPER HANDLE LEGS FID 5,B.
  4. 4 A TROLLEY CLAIMED THAT AFTER THE POWER PACK HAS BEEN REMOVED AND THE PLUNGER IS WITHDRAWN FIG 2,5 AND THE OPERATION IN FIG 3 ACTIONED,THAT THE DIFFERENCE IN THE LENGTH BETWEEN THE TWO SETS OF LEGS CAUSES THE AXLE INCLUDING MOTOR TO BE DRAWN UP TO THE HANDLE ASSEMBLIES FIG 3,FOR STOWAGE.
  5. 5 A TROLLEY CLAIMED THAT THE ACTION OF THE TWO SETS OF LEGS AND THE DRAWING UP AND DOWN OF THE BEAM AXLE IS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE TELESCOPIC ACTION.
  6. 6 THE INCORPORATION OF AN AXLE AS PER CLAIM 4 & 5 PREVENTS THE WHEELS FROM SPLAYING OUT AS OPPOSED TO THE TYPE NOT FITTED WITH AN AXLE.
