Abstract

The security cage has a mild steel frame, roof and doors with bars 1 and steel diamond mesh 2 to provide strength and rigidity for the purpose of securing articles of varying descriptions and sizes.

Description

This Invention relates to a Security Cage.

Although lockable boxes and housings are commonly known and used for everyday purposes in normal life and industry, they are of varying strengths and sizes available through manufacturers to what is deemed as appropriate and acceptable by the purchaser. This in many cases is insufficient security for items that are high cost and 'attractive' items and could lead to uninsurability by insurance companies for individuals or companies wishing to provide adequate protection for their possessions or goods.

As can be seen from the present invention there is provided a lockable steel frame designed to greatly deter and frustrate any potential thief. It is constructed by filing together several Imtr wide x 2mtr high panels - quantity as required - to form the cage including roof sections. The whole frame is then covered by steel diamond mesh. It is adaptable in that it can vary in size various to suit individual needs for storage purposes with or without shelving.

The security cage is constructed using the following components: Item 1 - 12mm diameter mild steel bars with 70mm centres.

Item 2 - 18mm x 40mm diamond steel diamond mesh.

Item 3 - 12mm x 12mm horizontal mild steel bar cross sections.

Item 4 - 40mm x 40mm x 3mm mild steel angled frame with suitable connecting bolts.

Item 5 - Floor fixing bolts.

Item 6 - 18mm Chipboard shelving.

Item 7 - Door Handle.

Item 8 - Lock housing.

Claims (9)

1. A security cage constructed with 40mm x 40mm x 3mm mild steel angle frame including 12mm l 12mm square steel bar cross sections to form walls, door and roof- all welded and rivetted. (see figure 3)

2. A security cage with steel doors attached to frame as outlined in 1. above with door swivel attachments and lock housings.

3. A security cage and doors with 12mm round steel vertical bars spaced at 70mm centres.

4. A security cage with 18mm x 40mm steel diamond mesh to cover exterior of frame and doors. (see figure 3)

5. A security cage which can be either bolted, concreted or filed in a suitable manner to floors, walls or earth. (see figure 5 -).

6. A security cage substantially as described herein with reference to figures 1-5 of the accompanying drawings.

7. A Security cage finished in Black powder coating.

8. A security cage which has 18mm Clipboard shelving. (see figure 5 -).

9. A security cage which has domed headed snap off securing bolts. (see figure 3 detail A)
