Cases; connections; connections to carbons.- In a battery particularly for wireless telephony &c. and of the kind in which individually removable cells make connection with concentric clip contacts a, f, the former engaging the inner surface of the zinc container, and the latter gripping the carbon electrode, a strip d connecting the carbon of one cell to the zinc of the next is made integral with the clip a and is passed through a slit c<1> in an insulating plate c. The strip d ends in an eye which is connected in known way by an eyelet g with the adjacent clip f. Long sleeves i for the reception of a wander plug are provided where required, passing through the battery cover h. The clips a are held by tongues b passing through and bent over the plate c. The clips a, f of one pair of terminals may be respectively connected to the socket and central contact of a lamp-holder k fixed inside the cover h, so that this pair of clips may be used for testing individual cells.
