Abstract

A ball flasher bite indicator has a flashing or constant light (1) which is attached on one side to the line clip (3) and on the other side to a swinging arm (2). The fishing line runs through the line clip (3) thus rotating the swinging arm (2). When the arm rotates, it operates the switch (4) which completes the circuit therefore operating the light and the sound box (5). It should be noted that the sound box (5) is optional. The purpose of the flashing or constant light, during darkness, is to draw the attention of the fisherman to the fact that a fish has taken the bait. Consequently the fish is pulling the line of the particular rod on which the light is flashing or remains constant. The ball flasher bite indicator is supported by attaching it to a bank stick, via the clip (6). The bank stick would already be in use by the fisherman. <IMAGE>

Description

BALL FLASHER BITE INDICATOR This invention relates to a fishing bite indicator.
To indicate bites in darkness.
According to the present invention there is a flashing/constant light bite indicator consisting of a round translucent ball which gives out light when a fish takes the bait and the pivot arm rotates.
Referring to the drawing, the bite indicator comprises the following items:1. Flashing or constant light operated by switched swinging arm to give bite indlcation.
2 Swinging arm (attached to item 1 above) 3. A line ch? for attaching to the fishing line (also attached to item I above) 4. Switch for light opcration 5. Sounder box containing speaker and batteries 6. Bank stick attachment clips.

  1. CLAIMS 1. A ball flasher bite indicator provides the fisherman with the ability to see, in darkness, that a fish has taken the bait. This is beneficial for multi-rod fishing showing immediately which fishing rod is to be attended.
