Abstract

The "D" type lock utilizer is a simple device which is secured to a gearstick, enabling a "D" type lock to be attached to link with the steering wheel, to deter unauthorised use of the vehicle to which it is fitted. <IMAGE>

Description

"D" TYPE LOCK UTILIER The lock utilizer is made from a hard tough metal and is the use of a device to enable a "D" type lock to link the gearstick and steering wheel. As shown in the drawing, a threaded piece of metal (B) screws on to the gearstich, after removal of the handle, (which is replaced after fitting of the device), which passes through area (A). Section (C) simply covers the unthreaded area at the top of the gearstick, section (D) is a hardened attatched tube shape which allows a "D" type lock to pass through.

  1. THE CLAIM "D" TYPE LOCK UTILIZER The use of a device to enable a "D" type lock to link the gearsoick and steering wheel.
    Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows The use of a device produced specifically to link a "D" type lock and "floor mounted" type gearstick.
