Abstract
227,827. Scharfenbergkupplung Akt.- Ges. Jan. 18, 1924, [Convention date]. Vehicle - axle bearings; bushes.-A journal bearing bush c, Fig. 2 to take vertical and side thrust is built up of at least three segments connected to one another pivotally and is capable of a limited rolling oscillatory movement upon a bearing surface in the journal box when laterally acting forces arise. As shown for a railway vehicle axle bearing, the bush c, Fig. 2 is secured in a onepiece box b by the spring retaining pin d, which is of such a fit as not to interfere with the slight rolling movement referred to above. Clearance is also allowed for such movement between the sides of the bush and the journal box. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a bearing in which the segments are connected to each other by flexible means, such as a resilient metal band, Fig. 6 (Cancelled). This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
