Locks, permutation; portable.-Locks operated by a rotating handle are protected against illicit operation by a casing rotatably secured on the handle by permutation discs. The operating handle a is provided with a screw b having a head d and a threaded shank c engaging a tapped recess in the handle spindle. A casing e with four permutation discs f arranged so that a notch in the lower flange x of each disc coincides with the head d of the screw b, is placed over the handle. When the discs f are rotated at random, the flanges x engage under the head d and prevent removal of the casing e which prevents access to the handle a. The casing can rotate freely en the handle. The discs are secured in the casing by a nut i.
