Abstract

An antenna tuning arrangement comprises a capacitor which is adjustable to tune the antenna to a desired frequency. The capacitor comprises a first tubular element 6 which fits inside a second, larger, tubular element 7. The arrangement may work as an antenna in itself or it may be attached to an existing antenna such as a loop antenna. The capacitor is constructed of aluminium tubing and plastic. <IMAGE>

Description

DESCRIPTION The Delta Tune is a form of capacitor, it is constructed of aluminium tubing and plastic.
It consists of one aluminium tube element insulated, fitting inside a larger aluminium tube element. With a plastic stabiliser and a aluminium ground stabiliser.

Claims (1)

  1. The Delta Tune is a form of capacitor between the transmit and the ground ratio. It can be manipulated to any size for transmitting and receiving purposes.
    The ground of the Delta Tune balances the signal evenly from low frequency to high frequency. Once the frequency is balanced standing wave ratio is brought down by slightly moving the extension feed (6) thus making less signal reflection and the antenna very wide band.
    Tests have shown that anywhere on the radio spectrum the Delta Tune will work whether shortened or lengthened for an even match on the frequency your using. The Delta Tune can work as an aerial in itself or attached to an existing aerial.
    A test was performed showing that without moving the Delta Tune from the 26 - 27 mhz band the Delta Loop antenna covered the following: BAND FREQUENCY STANDING WAVE RATIO lOM 29.500 1.3

    14.000 3.0 By readjusting the Delta Tune you can tune into further frequencies.
