Description
WASHABLE SYSTEM FOR TOILET SEAT COVERS
PATENT SPECIFICATIONS
Description of Invention
This invention relates to a washable system for toilet seat covers.
Background
All of us find it very difficult to make use of public toilets as we are usually not sure if the toilet seat covers are clean or dirty. Even when the toilet seat covers appear "clean" at sight, we are understandably apprehensive about it as it is very difficult for us to acknowledge that public toilets could ever be "clean". This is especially so now with the AIDS scare all round us.
As a result, some of us resort to climbing onto the toilet bowl and squatting over the toilet bowl if we have to make use of public toilets. This of course inevitably contributes to making the toilets even dirtier than before we use it as our footprints or shoe marks would be all over the sides of the toilet bowl.
Of course if the public toilets are well maintained and cleaned regularly it will help in clearing our doubts a little, but still if we need to actually use it more often than not we would resort to covering the toilet seat covers with lots of tissue paper or back to our habit of climbing over it.
My Solution
To overcome this problem, this invention relates to the installation of a new set of toilet seat covers that incorporates awashing system in the toilet seat covers.
With this invention, a person using the toilet would actually be washing the toilet seat covers himself or herself with hot or cold water before his or her use each time. This way he or she would have the opportunity to "witness" and participate in the actual cleaning of the toilet seat covers.
Detailed Description
This new washable toilet seat covers system also has two "leaves" in a toilet seat cover set as at present.
The difference is that the top piece of the toilet seat cover incorporates a water tubing inlaid into it. This water tubing acts as a hot or cold water carrier to wash the lower piece of the set.
When the lower piece of the toilet seat cover is brought into an upright position and pressed into the top piece seat cover (which is already in an upright position as well), it triggers a switch to release hot or cold water to wash this lower piece of the toilet seat. (Both hot or cold water could be piped into the system. It is up to the user to decide if hot or cold water is needed).
Of course to be effective in cleaning as well as providing for a quick dry surface, the lower piece of the toilet seat cover has to be painted or coated with smooth top qualitypaint or resin so that minimal water is "stuck" onto itwhen it has been washed thus enabling the user to use it immediately after each washing.
The mechanism for the introduction and release of the hot or cold water to wash the lower piece of the toilet seat cover is located in the upper piece of the toilet seat cover.
A receptacle, attached to the toilet seat cover, to drain away the water used for washing the toilet seats into the toilet bowl is also provided.
Drawings Azure 1 shows the top view of the upper portion of the toilet seat cover.
Figure 2 shows the underside view of the upper portion of a toilet seat cover with typical details of the tubing system inlaid into the underside. This distinguishes it from the ordinary toilet seat covers.
Figure 3 shows the lower portion of the toilet seat cover which actually looks like a normal toilet seat cover except that it is precision-made to fit into the recessed upper portion of the toilet seat cover set exactly thus minimising the spillage and splash of used water when the toilet seat covers are being washed.
Claims (8)
1. I claim a washable toilet seat cover system that enables the lower portion of the toilet seat cover to be washed and cleaned with hot or cold water each time before or after use.
2. Awashable toilet seat cover system as claimed in 1 above that enables the user himself or herself to actually wash and clean the system with hot or cold water before his or her use each time.
3. Awashable toilet seat cover system as claimed in 1 and 2 above whereby the washing and cleaning process could be repeated again and again if the toilet seat cover is still not clean after each wash.
4. Awashable toilet seat cover system as claimed in 1, 2 and 3 above whereby the washing tubings are inlaid into the upper portion of the toilet seat cover system set.
5. Awashable toilet seat cover system as claimed in 1,2, 3 and 4 above whereby a trigger switch is used to trigger the release of water to wash the toilet seat cover each time after use.
6. A washable toilet seat cover system as claimed in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 above whereby hot or cold water could be used to wash and clean the toilet seats.
7. A washable toilet seat cover system as claimed in 1, 2, 3, d, 5 and 6 above whereby a receptable is used to drain away the used water into the toilet bowl.
8. A washable toilet seat cover system as claimed in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 above whereby the washing and cleaning of the toilet seat cover for a person's use comes in a set ready to be fixed onto an existing toilet bowl.
