Abstract

A locking device for a vehicle, such as a trailer, comprises a bolt 10 which is passed through a wheel 3 of the vehicle and locked to a box 6 which is fixed to the chassis 5, to prevent rotation of the wheel. In an alternative embodiment the bolt 10 is looked to an extended shaped wheel nut 16. <IMAGE>

Description

ANTI THEFT LOCKING DEVICE This Invention relates to locking devices at least concerned with a Vehicle, Trailer, Wheel and the like.
There are a few known locking devices for at least the afore mentioned , one is an expanding ball joint that is fitted up and locked into the tow cup hitch of the trailer, however this does not stop anyone tying up the tow bar to a vehicle or allow for wheel security when the trailer is left alone. Likewise the Tow Cup & Ball handle lock.
There is also a wheel boot that is usually fitted to one wheel of the trailer, this entails quite a bit of manoeuvrability to fit, park over and release.
The present invention is concerned with securing at least the bed and wheels of at least a trailer, whilst creating a braking lock and anti theft device for the same, to be in conjunction with most current Insurance Companies stipulations.
The invention will now be further illustrated by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawing, wherein: Fig 1 is a view of a typical wheel, axle, and chassis of at least a trailer with a lockbolt through the wheel and box location according to the present invention.
Fig 2 is a view of a Lock and bolt of which at least passes through or at least hooks through or over at least one wheel or chassi of at least a Trailer according to the present invention.
Fig 3 is a view of a Lock and bolt of a ratchet type according to the present invention.
Fig 4 is a view of a section through a typical wheel and hub with a lockbolt in place over at least a shaped wheel nut and through the wheel hub section according to the present invention.
Fig 5 is a view of a shaped wheel nut, lockbolt and locking unit according to the present invention.
Fig 6 is an exploded end view through (A) with reference to Fig 5, showing the steel bolt, lock location, mortise tongue and wheel nut location area according to the present invention.
Continued Description Continued: Referring to Fig 1 the wheel 3 is at least connected to an axle 4 In turn at least connected to a chassis 5 whereby at least a hardened steel box or plate 6 is secured by at least steel hardened bolts 7 and at least fixed nuts 8 through at least a hardened steel plate 9 whereby at least a hardened steel bolt 10 with at least a hole lug or ratchet 12 with at least a domed or hooked head 11 is passed at least through or over at least a plate 6 or chassi 5 or wheel 3 or vehicle part at least one way and into at least a hole in through or over at least one box or plate 6 or vehicle part or chassi 5 whereby at least a lock 13 is at least placed up inside or be at least part of box 6 or bolt 10 or plate 6 or chassi 5 or wheel 3 at least placed through a hole or ratchet 12 and locked in preventing at least a bolt croppers or hacksaw into that area securing at least a wheel and/or a trailer and/or a vehicle.
Referring to Fig 2, has described at Fig 1. when located.
Referring to Fig 3, has described at Fig 1. when located.
Referring to Fig 4, at least a unit 19 is place over at least a shaped nut 16 that is at least threaded over stud 15 and is locked via at least a lock 13 whereby at least a mortise tongue 18 locates at least a groove 12 whereby at least a steel bolt 10 runs through at least an aperture in at least a wheel hub whereby at least it would locate and brake on a fixed part.
Referring to Fig 5, there is at least a wheel nut 16 with at least a groove 12 with at least a locking unit 19 with at least a key hole and lock 13 with at least a steel bolt 10 to be placed as described and with reference to Fig 4.
Referring to fig 6, there is an exploded end view of the locking unit 19 to be described and with reference to Fig 4 and 5 through (A), whereby the shaped wheel nut 16 would be in place and at least threaded over a wheel stud securing at least a wheel and located within at least an aperture 17 whereby lock 13 would be actioned to move at least a mortise tongue 18 into at least a groove 12 of at least a shaped wheel nut, while at least a bolt 10 would protrude through at least a wheel hub to break on at least a fixed part rendering at least the wheel and vehicle securely locked.

CLAIMS:
1. At least a locking device that is at least a part of or at least past through or over at least a wheel part and/or a shaped wheel nut or stud part and/or a trailer part and/or a vehicle part at least one way that enables at least the security of at least a vehicle and/or a trailer and/or a wheel.
2. At least a locking device according to claim 1 that may be at least part of or at least passed through or over at least a shaped wheel nut or stud part and/or a trailer part and/or a vehicle part at least one way that enables at least the security of at least a vehicle and/or a trailer and/or a wheel.
3. At least an independent free unit according to claims 1 and 2 that may be either part of or fixed at least to a base that will allow at least a free unit to be at least passed through and into its objective while being locked securely therein.
3. At least a locking device according to claim 1 or 2 that may be at least passed through or over at least a trailer part and/or a vehicle part at least one way that enables at least the security of at least a vehicle and/or a trailer and/or a wheel.
4. At least a locking device according to claims 1 to 3 that may be passed through or over at least a vehicle part at least one way that enables at least the security of at least a vehicle and/or a trailer and/or a wheel.
5. At least a locking device according to claims 1 to 4 that enables at least the security of at least a vehicle and/or a trailer and/or a wheel.
6. At least a device according to claims 1 to 5 that enables a least a shaped wheel nut or stud to be fitted with at least a mortise, ratchet, ball, lug, hole and/or locking device in conjunction or without that enables the security of at least a vehicle and/or a trailer and/or a wheel.
Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1. At least an independent free unit that houses at least one locking device that may be either part of or fixed to at least a base that will allow at least a shaped unit to be passed through at least one end, top or side at least one way and locked therein while securing its objective.
2. At least an independent free unit according to claim 1 that houses at least one locking device that can be fixed to and protect at least a shaped stud that will allow at least a shaped fixed or free locked unit to at least pass through or over at least a wheel at least one way and secured therein and to its objective.
