Abstract

A perambulator warning beacon consists of an object of suitable colour size and mass 3 at the end of an adjustable rod 2 attached by an adjustable clamp 1 to a perambulator to create public awareness of the perambulator and avoidance of accidents. <IMAGE>

Description

DESCRIPTION A PERAMBULATOR WARNING BEACON This invention relates to a Perambulator warning beacon.
A perambulator is low and inconspicuous and is generally in front of the adult pushing it and consequently in danger from collision with people and vehicles unaware of its presence.
This invention comprises a warning beacon (3) at the end of an adjustable rod (2) made of a material of a size, colour and mass to attract the attention of people to whom the pusher of the perambulator is visible but the perambulator is not.
The clamp ( 1 ) attaching the rod to the perambulator enables the beacon to be positioned in front of, behind or above the perambulator and the adjustable rod enables the beacon to be positioned at different distances from the perambulator.
The beacon is of such a design, colour and mass to serve as an appropriate indication of the presence of the perambulator to which it is attached and to prevent the rod being a hazard to anyone and to be a toy of interest to the occupant of the perambulator

Claims (5)

  1. CLAIMS A PERAMBULATOR WARNING BEACON 1. A perambulator warning beacon comprises an object of suitable colour size and mass at the end of a rod attachable to a perambulator.
  2. 2. A perambulator warning beacon as claimed in 1 above incorporating an adjustable clamp for the attachment of the rod to the perambulator so that the object can be placed in front above or behind the perambulator.
  3. 3. A perambulator warning beacon as claimed in 1 and 2 above incorporating an adjustable rod to position the object at various distances from the perambulator and to enable the rod and beacon to be detached from the perambulator and to be stored in a small space.
  4. 4. A perambulator warning beacon as claimed in 1, 2 and 3 above incorporating an object made of light material of a size, design and colour to serve as a warning of the presence of the perambulator to which it is attached and to prevent the end of the rod to which it is attached being a danger to other persons or property in its vicinity.
  5. 5. A perambulator warning beacon as claimed in 1,2,3 and 4 above incorporating the beacon which serves as a toy for the amusement of the occupant of the perambulator.
