Claims (2)

  1. CLAIMS:
    .CLME:
    i. A method for reducing doubling in the start-up phase of a sheet-fed printing press having multiple printing units, whereby the units and components needed for printing are put into operation through actuators according to a time sequence determined by a machine control before the first one of a given number of sheets to be printed passes through, wherein, in a first step, all units and components needed for printing are put into operation, except for the i0 engagement of the rubber blanket cylinder with the impression cylinder, and wherein, in further steps, with the entry of a first sheet into a respective printing unit, its rubber blanket cylinder and impression cylinder are uncoupled from all other printing units so as essentially to have no disturbing effect on the latter and are engaged with each other for production printing.
