Description

Faucet Assembly The present invention relates to a water faucet, and more particulary to a faucet assembly which is designed with structures permitting an easy and fast assembly and replacement.
Referring to Fig. 1 a conventional water faucet comprises 2 main whior. 1 wXhic'n nas a rotatable water tap 2 hinged thereto by means ci a screw 2:)C. Locate behind tre water tap < is a hexagonal nut 2 to be rotate by a wrench, tne externally threaded conduit. 5 to be set securely into the internally threaded conduit embedded in a wall.A ring 4 with an arc surface is disposed ir. front of the threaded conduit 5 for the purpose of putting the abutment out of sight. Ine front end of the main body 1 constitutes a water outlet 100.
It is a well known fact that it is messy and troublesome to repair or repiace a worn: out water faucet of the conventional the described above.
The conventional water faucet with the threaded conduit is prone to bringing about a water leakage because the engagement of the threaded conduits is vulnerable to becoming loose after a prolonged usage.
Furthermore. it is tedious and Inconvenient to have the conventional water faucet replaced, the reason being that the water faucet can be detached from the wall water conduit only by means of using a wrench to rotate a hexagonal nut which is securely fastened to the former. As a result.
consuners at large often have to resort to a professional plumber for a repair job as and as such and are thus subjected to a Great expense.
The primary object of the present invention is to provide a faucet assembly with structures permitting an easy and speedy assembly and replacement.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a faucet assembly that prevents the uncontrolled egress of water from a water outlet pipe.
Description of the Drawings Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a faucet structure of the prior art.
Fig. 2 is a partially exploded view of an embodiment of the faucet structure which conveys the concept of the present invention.
Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the assembled embodiment of the faucet structure of Fig. 2.
Fig. 4 is a schematic, cross-sectional view of the check valve function of the above embodiment.
Referring to Figs. 2 and 3, a faucet assembly primarily comprises a faucet 10, an inner sleeve 20, a washer 30, a middle sleeve 40, an outer sleeve 90, an O-ring 80 in the middle sleeve 40, and a valve gate 50 in the inner sleeve 20.
A knob ii is disposed on the top of the faucet 10, and a protrusion 12 is disposed n~the rear portion of the fuacet 10 upwardly. A plurality of threads 13 are formed on the rear portion of the faucet 10. Thus the protrusion 12 is disposed between the Inob 11 and the threads 13. The inner sleeve 20 tapers from the rear portion to the front portion. Three arc shaped p~otrusions 21 are disposed on the outer periphery of the inner sleeve 20. Three recesses 24 separate the arc protrusions 21 respectively. An outer flange 22 is disposed on the outer surface of each recess 24 respectively. An inner flange 22 is disposed on the inner surface of each recess 24 respectively. Therefore, the protrusion 12 is positioned by one of the three recesses 24.The front portion of each arc protrusion 21 has a groove 25. The inner pipe 70 which passes through the wall connects with an outer pipe 70 which is in the wall. The middle sleeve 40 tapers from the rear portion to the front portion. An inner stoppage flange 41 is disposed on the inner surface of the middle sleeve 40. The middle sleeve 40 encloses the inner sleeve 20. The front portion of the washer 30 is inserted in the rear portion of the inner sleeve 20.
The valve gate 50 has a cone 51, four supports 52, and a stoppage ring 53. The stoppage ring 53 is in the front portion of the valve gate 50. and the cone 51 is in the rear portion of the valve gate 50. The valve gate 50 has a hollow interior to allow water to flow through it.
Referring to Five. 3, the outer pipe 60 is embedded in the wall. The outer pipe 60 has inner threads to match the outer threads of the inner pipe 70. The valve gate 50, the O-ring 80, the washer 30, and the outer sleeve 90 are inserted into the inner pipe 70. Thus the valve gate 50 is confined by the Oring 80 and the threaded washer 30. The middle sleeve 40 encloses the inner sleeve 20, and the outer sleeve 90 encloses the middle sleeve 40. Before the faucet 10 is inserted in the inner sleeve, the cone D1 will be pushed forwardly by the water pressure so that the cone 51 will be adjacent to the O-ring 80. Thus the water flow is stopped.
Referring to Fig. 4, the faucet 10 is inserted into the inner sleeve 20. Thus the middle sleeve 40 will move rearwardly. The inner stoppage flange 41 will move to the front portion of the inner sleeve 20. The arc protrusions 21 will flare outwardly so that the rear portion of the faucet 10 can be easily inserted in the inner sleeve 20. The inner flange 22 ili intermesh with the threads 13 in order to position the faucet 10 securely.
Then the middle sleeve 40 will be moved to the outer flange 23. Thus ty outer flange 23 can confine the rearward motion of the middle sleeve 40. The protrusion 12 and the recesses 24 can intermesh with each other so that the faucet 10 will not be rotated or loosened. Then one end of the outer sleeve 90 covers the rear portion of the faucet 10, and the other end of the outer sleeve 90 is adjacent to the wall.
When the middle sleeve is moved rearwardly, the arc protrusions 21 will be flared outwardly. Therefore, the faucet 10 can be easily disassembled.
When the faucet 10 is separated from the inner sleeve 20, the valve gate 50 is pushed forwardly by the water pressure. Thus the water flow is stopped.
