Abstract

A pocket size wallet has two transparent inside pockets 2, each containing double-sided cards 3 which list items of the shoppers' choice. The surfaces of the packets have a central "write-on" surface for marking in pencil items required on either side of it prior to shopping, and cancelling during shopping. After use the markings are erased from the "write-on" surface using a rubber, ready for re-use. The "write-on" surface is provided by a strip of matt-surfaced adhesive tape 4. <IMAGE>

Description

SHOPPING LIST This invention relates to a domestic shopping list "aide memoir".
Shopping lists are usually of a temporary nature and are written out on a weekly basis on slips of paper, showing what the current requirements are, and are scrapped after use.
The compilation of them weekly is an irksome task as the items have often to be transferred from a wall chart, or are dependent upon the person's memory, often resulting in items being omitted.
According to the present invention the shopping list "aidememoire" presents a perpetual comprehensive list of items of the user's choice.
It comprises a transparent plastic wallet with two pockets, in the pockets are cards showing a list of the user's choice, these are readily visible to the user.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by the way of example with reference to the drawings The transparent wallet (1) forms a book which contains two pockets, (2) in the pages, into which is inserted double sided white cards (3) holding about 200 items. Being double sided and contained in the transparent pockets (2) four surfaces are visible through the plastic.
On the glossy surface of each page is a vertical and centrally located adhesive strip (4) which has a "write on" surface for the user to "J" off the items required and cancel "4U' when purchased. After use the pencil marks can be erased with an ordinary rubber ready for re-use.
White card inserts (3) holding about 200 items fit into the pockets (2) and form a firm support for the plastic when being ticked (1). Insert cards (3) can be changed to suit customer requirements.
A pencil (5) can be parked in the second pocket via the opening in the top right hand corner of the third surface (6).
Wallet (1) dimensions (6" x 4") are suitable for the average pocket or handbag.
METHOD OF OPERATION The shopping list is for two weeks use before erasure. The "two week" method is an "aide-memoire" for current, past or future purchases.
When week one is being compiled for the current requirements, and some items are foreseen for the following week tick (J) on the week two column also.
After week two requirements have been obtained, erase and start again on week one.
The supermarket aisle number column reference is mainly for locating special items which are infrequently used, so that they can be quickly found in the future.
