Abstract

226,010. Davies, C. R. Nov. 15, 1923. Mud-guards rotating with wheels.-The annular splash guard 7, of rubber or other flexible material, is formed for attachment to the edge of the steel foundation band 8 of a solid tyre 6 so that the overall width of the tyre and splash guard is equal to the width of the foundation band. The inner edge of the guard is formed of angle section so as to fit over the edge of the band 8 to which it is secured by screws 14. The diameter of the guard is such that its outer edge is always in contact with the ground.
