Abstract
225,825. Brunner, A. Dec. 8, 1923, [Convention date]. Focusing-devices.-The camera back A supports the sensitive plate B, and a strip of ground glass C for focusing protected by an external hood D. One element F of a roller-blind shutter covers the plate but exposes the strip C during focusing. On releasing the shutter to expose the plate, first the strip C is covered by the element F, then the exposure slit between the elements F, G traverses the plate, and the elements are arrested so that the upper extremity of the element F and the lower extremity of the element G rest at the lower edge of the sensitive plate. The objective may be displaced laterally by a lever system to bring successive portions of the picture upon the focusing-strip C. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also describes t'he use of the focusing-strip in a camera having a lens shutter, in which case the plate B is kept covered during focusing, and the hood D is closed during exposure. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specificatiop as accepted.
