Abstract

Cylinders, cooling.-A cock c is placed in a pipe b<2> connecting the cooling jacket and the radiator a to regulate the temperature of the cooling water which is indicated on the dashboard by a thermometer i. In the case of a forced water-circulation system, the radiator may be by-passed by a pipe connecting the return pipe b<1> and the cock c. The cock is rotated against a spring h by a Bowden or other wire e connected to a handle on the dashboard. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a device for rotating the cock c automatically which comes into action when the cooling water reaches a definite temperature. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
