Abstract

A money belt, eg pouch belt, has a body 10 comprising an inner pouch (not shown) which are waterproof so that the pouch belt can be adapted for use both in and out of the water. A waterproof sealing or fastening device attached to an opening 12 on the outer or inner pouch to keep its contents thereof, adjustable securing device 13 provided on the belt at or adjacent to the ends. The pouch belt uses waterproof material specially assembled using stitching, gluing or a welding technique. <IMAGE>

Description

WATERPROOF POUCH BELT This invention relates to a waterproof pouch belt.
Purses are a well known article for carrying money.
There is a special type of purse that comprises a belt, known as the money belt, which is worn about the waist.
The purse which is attached to the belt has an opening that can be closed by a fastening device to keep in its contents.
Money belts are, however, limited in capacity.
Moreover, when they can only be used as a basic purse for carrying money the purse belt is generally worn under the garment and therefore has no external fashionable appearance or any other advantages in that respect.
According to the present invention, there is provided a waterproof pouch comprising a belt, the body in the form of a pouch, means for keeping water out of the pouch once or whilst submerged. The pouch belt being adapted for use both in and out of the water'and adjustable securing device provided on the belt or adjacent to the ends.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of an example with reference to the accompanying drawing.
Figure 1 shows in perspective the pouch incorporated with the belt.
Referring to the drawing, the belt 11 comprises a body in the form cF a pouch 10 attached to the belt. An opening 12 at the front of the pouch and/or inner pouch is watertight by for example a waterproof fastener, sealing device or similar means (not shown). At the front ends of the belt an adjustable securing device 13 is provided.

Claims (7)

1) A waterproof pouch belt, a body in the form of a pouch, means for keeping out water from pouch, the body being adapted for use both in and out of the water thereof and adjustable securing device provided on the belt at or adjacent to the ends thereof which ends are situated at the front ends of the belt.
2) A waterproof pouch belt as claimed in claim 1 wherein sealing means are provided on the outer or inner pouch co-operable with closing and opening means so that its contents are kept dry in water.
3) A waterproof pouch belt as claimed in claim 1 or 2 wherein waterproof material is stitched, glued or welded co-operated with sealing means in order to keep watertight.
4) A waterproof pouch belt as claimed in claim 2 or 3 wherein a waterproof pouch or body is provided with a belt.
5) A waterproof pouch belt as claimed in claim 4 wherein the belt is provided with at least one waterproof pouch.
6) A waterproof pouch belt as claimed in any preceding claim, wherein the, or each, pouch is provided with at least one sealing device.
7) A waterproof pouch belt substantially as described herein with reference to figures 1 of the accompanying drawing.
