Description
A BOOT WITH CHANGEABLE LEG SECTIONS
Technical field
This invention relates to a boot which has detachable and exchangeable sections of leg. The sections can be of different heights and shapes.
Background Boots rising above the ankle are usually designed for
a specific purpose or sport, however by making sections
of the leg detachable and exchangsable the.effective use and appearance of the boot can be changed. Different
colours or personalised decorations can be added.
Essential technical features
This invention enables the effective use and appearance of a boot to be changed by having different portions of the leg constructed of interchangeable pieces. The interchangeable pieces can be attached by buckle and straps, press studs, zip fasteners, velcro pads, eyelet and laces, cleats, or a combination of these attachments.
The changeable portions can either be made to each boot
size or to a single standard size of portion that can
be arranged to cover a range of different boot sizes.
Example Two forms of the invention will now be described and
illustrated on the accompanying drawings.
Figure No.1 shows the detachable portion of a boot leg
attached by three straps and buckles on one side of the
leg
Figure No.2 shows the portion shown in figure no.1
attached on the other side of the boot by three press
studs.
Figure No.3 illustrates a detachable leg portion attached
with three straps and buckles, and four press studs on
one side of the boot.
Figure No.4 shows the portion shown in figure no.3
attached on the other side of the boot by three press
studs.
Refering to the drawings the invention comprises a
boot with detachable pieces. The pieces can be exchanged
for pieces of a similar shape and size that may have
different designs or colours.
The exchangeable pieces can be of one standard size
capable of covering a full or part range of boot sizes
As illustrated in figures 3 & 4 the lower part of the
boot can be worn with or without its upper portion.
In figures 1 to 4 items marked 'C' are straps and buckles.
Items marked 'D' are press studs. These attachments
can be sudstituted by cleats, laces, zip fasteners or
velcro pads.
