222,921. Beattie, W. H. T. April 2, 1924. Drawings to Specification. Mud-guards for motor-cars and like road vehicles comprising an inner side portion or valance secured to the vehicle and supporting a peripheral portion or guard proper, have this peripheral portion made wholly or partly of resilient material such as rubber. The side portion may also be of resilient material. The rubber may be provided with a canvas insertion and a beaded edge. The outer edge only of the guard may be of rubber, either the rubber or the metal being shouldered so that the parts can be riveted together.
