Abstract
A condom extension skirt 1 for preventing wet areas contact and therefore lessening the chance of catching a disease during intercourse is achieved in either of two ways. Either a loose fitting condom has an integral skirt 1, held roughly planar by a rigidising rim 3 and ribs 2 (or just by making the skirt thicker) or a separate skirt (Figures 2-4) rigidised in the same alternative ways and attached to a standard condom by an adhesive band (11) which is covered by a peelable protective strip until required for use. <IMAGE>
Description
ANTI DISEASE COIThOM SKIRT
This invention relates to a skirting extension to a condom, intet, xcal or attachable, to help prevent disease.
Standard condoms roll dolm to the base of the penis but do not prevent contact of other wet areas during intercourse.
This present invention provides an extension skirt covering these areas, thus reducing contact & therefore, lessening chances of abrasions, blemishes or diseased areas passing on infection from one person to another during intercourse. It will also lessen chances of the condom coming off during use.
The reauirement above can be achieved in two ways, either by having a complete, flanged condom or by using an extension flange attachment grith a standard condom, as presently available.
The flange disc can either hold itself roughly planar due to its thickness or by provision of ngidising ribs & rim. The latter system giving greater sensitivity, if required.
The first alternative method will now be described:
Figure 1 shows the special condom, which has a flanged open end (1).
This flange is shown with the rigidising ribs (2) .^i rim (3) although, as previously stated, it can be solid & thicker & therefore, without such ribs & rim, then. The rigidisinz ribs do not start immediately after the tubular section (4) to allow for personal tolerances. This condom is never rolled doom, as they presently do, but is stored in a "lay flat" condition or concertina fashion. As it never rolls dozen it ll require internal lubrication for fitting. The diameter of the tube section will be more generous than usual, to allow it to slide over, during fitting.
The loose fit is lmimportant as it cannot "ride up" during use, due to the flange. The construction is made entirely of rubber.
This condom, in fact, embodies the concept of lining the female as much as fitting the male. The type truth the solid flange is shown in Figure 18.
The second alternative will now be described:
It consists of a rubber "lidless" top hat section or annular flane, similarly rigidised with ribs & rim as previously described or, again, by thicker rubber over the base plane, with an initially protected contact adhesive band on the tubular section, with which to stick it to the base i.e. open end of a standard condom, then the protective covering of the device has been peeled off.
The accompanying drawings Figures 2 to 4 show the device in its 3 modes.
Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the condom extension skirt with the protective strip still attached (as purchased.)
Figure 3 shows the same with the protective strip peeled off.
Figure 4 shows the condom rolled down & stuck on to the extension sl.rt.
Referrin, to the drawing, the annular flange skirt in Figure 2 is shown with the strengthening ribs (5) & stabilisina rim (6) on the base disc (7).
The ribs do not start immediately after the tubular section to allow for personal tolerances. Also shown is the rigidising rim (8) on the top edge of the tubular section (9). Again, also shorn is the protective strip (10) covering the contact adhesive area until use. The solid disc version is shown in Figure 2A.
The skirt device at this stage is passed over the penis until the base disc is in contact with the groin area. The protective strip (10) is then peeled off & diapenced with, the device now appears as in Figure 3, shoring the adhesive band (11) round the tubular section (9).
A standard condom (12) is then applied to the penis & rolled down to the point there it touches the base disc of the device, as shorn in Figure 4 (13).
Slight pressure is then applied to the annular area where the adhesive is situated (14) to get the base end of the condom to stick to the contact adhesive band b the complete protection system of condom & extension skirt is ready for use.
For clarity, the solid base disc equivalent of Figures 3 & 4 has not been repeated but in each case resembles the base disc shown in Figure 21..
Claims (10)
1 An anti disease condom skirt consisting of a suitably rigidised skirting flange, provided either as an integral part of a loose fitting special rubber condom or by a separate annular rubber flange, identically rigidised but attached to a standard condom by an adhesive band on the device, this band being covered by a peelable protective strip until required for use.
2 A loose fitting condom with an integral flange, as described in Claim 1, lubricated internally to ease fitting.
3 A loose fitting condom with integral flange, as described in Claims 1 & 2, in various lengths to suit personal requirements.
4 A condom flanged skirt disc, as described in both versions of Claim 1, with stabilising rim & rigidising ribs as part of this disc, to keep it roughly plantar in use.
5 Rigidising ribs, as described in Claim 4, set back from the inner diameter of this skirt disc to allow for expansion of tho centro tube to accommodate varying diametors of penis.
6 A condom flanged skirt disc, as described in both versions of Clc1 I, thick enough to hold itself roughly plantar in use.
7 An annular flanged rubber device, stabilised & rigidised as in Claims l; b & 5, or as in Claim 6, further rigidised by a rim at the other end of the tubular section, romote from the flange disc.
8 An annular flanged device, as in Claim 7, lrith a contact a@ adhesive band around the tubular section of the device, so that it can be stuck to a standard a condom.
9 Ail annular flanged device with adhesive band as described in Claims 7 L: 8, that has this a adhesive band covered by a peelable protective strip until required for use.
10 An anti disease condom skirt substantially as described heroin with reference to Figures 1, 1A, 2, 2A, 3 L: 4 of the accompanying drawings.
