Abstract
222,383. Twort, F. March 5, 1924. Impact pulverizers.-Relates to disintegrators for grinding coal &c. and to machines of the twoscreen type with block-pieces H at the middle joints of the body casing. The upper outer casing A is of rectangular shape and provided with a door D<1> at the top, and the bottom section B of the casing is splayed out on one or both sides, the two screens F in the bottom section and. the two ratchets E in the upper section being of similar shape and size, independent of each other, and secured in the casing by means of stays P, Fig. III, and set-screws Q. The disintegrator may be provided with a door D<1> at the top of the casing A and two doors D<2>, D<3>, one on each end of the bottom casing B; or there may be four doors D<2> - - D<5> only on the ends of the casing. The doors are of square or rectangular shape, interchangeable, and flat seated. The beater-arms L are adjustable in recesses N in a disc M on the driving-shaft T.
