Description

2220912 A roll of cloth or a stack of cloths consisting of rolled-up
cloths The invention relates to a roll of clo.th or a stack of cloths consisting of strip-like, rolled-up cloths adapted..to be accommodated in and withdrawn from a container having a withdrawal aperture, the cloths being preferably folded in the longitudinal direction by tear-off perforations.
It is known for cloths to be rolled up endlessly in the form of a roll, the cloths being connected to one another by tear-off perforations. Such rolls are placed in a withdrawal container where they are possibly impregnated with a moistening lotion and are therefore available to the user, who can subsequently withdraw them one by one.
It is also usual to place cloths together and to roll them up in that condition. Thus, later on, a relatively broad cloth is available to the user. who can unfold it for use.
However, there are problems when it comes to transporting the individual rolls of cloth produced by the Paper manufacturer in such a way that they can be readily inserted into the withdrawal container. Inserting such rolls of cloths is difficult because the loose ends become detached.
The invention is concerned with the problem of facilitating insertion of the rolls of cloth of the type mentioned at the outset into the containers provided, and particularly of ensuring that no creases, twists or the like are caused when the roll of cloth is placed in the container.
This is achieved by the features indicated in

Claims (2)

Claim 1. A possible f ixing means would be some kind of band passed around the roll, making it impossible for the free end of the roll of cloth to become unwound. The band can either be of annular form or may be made up from an endless strip to produce a band, in that the ends of the band are joined. It is possible here to use a welding process if the material of the band is weldable. Adhesive joints or electrical charges are also feasible. Glueing can only be used if the glue is compatible with the lotion used for impregnating the cloths. Possible materials for the band are synthetic plastics, for example also a fleece material. The invention is explained by hereinafter, with reference to the drawing. way of example The drawing shows a perspective view of a roll of cloths according to the invention. The drawing shows a roll of cloths 10 formed by rolling up a strip. The roll has a f lat shape to correspond to the shape of the container which will subsequently be provided. Reference numeral 11 denotes a band which surrounds the roll. 12 denotes the end of the roll 10 and it can be seen that, due to the band 11, the loose end 12 of the roll 10 does not protrude. It can be seen that it is a simple matter 3 - to introduce the roll of cloths 10 into a container; for instance, mechanical eq'uipment can also he used fo. r the process.
