Universal joints.-In a motor suspension and transmission system, each axle 4 is driven from its motor 1 through toothed gearing 19, 20, the wheel 20 being flexibly connected to its axle as shown in Fig. 4. An outer toothed part 25 is spherically mounted on an inner part 21 fixed to the axle 4 while the drive is transmitted through radially disposed leaf springs 29.
