CU12r to cookers which include a ridge which will serve as a 'separation between the burners and the opera ting controls of the burners.

Conventionally, to separate the burners and the area in which the controls are located there is an accessory small plate which can be secured to the cooker plate itself, or else it can be removable to facilitate the cleaning thereof. The cooker plate can be made up of two,three or four burners, which may be gas and/or electric ones. Any combination thereof is possible.

Upon making the cooker plate with the ridge close to the area where the controls are located, the accessorv small plate is avoided. This represents an economic saving in the manufacture and maintenance thereof because of the possible breakage which is produced. Besides, the mounting thereof is avoided since it is a part of the structure itself of the cooker plate. Thus, the cooker plate is cleaner as accumulations of grease, due to the spilling over of liquids or as a result of the use itself during the cooking of food, as drops spatter on the plate, do not take place.

The area upon which the controls will be located remains in a position sloping outward and downward protected by the ridge of the cooker plate. This 1 is - 2 presents the action of the heat from reaching the controls. Hence, said ridge performs the functions for which the acc.essory plate was positioned.

Likewise, conventional cooker plates are provided with some aeration grooves located in the right side or in the front part close to the controls, while in the cooker plate described here the aeration grooves remain in the rear part of said plate. Hence, they are not visible and more cleanness and a better appearance are attained.

In order to complete the description which follows and for the purpose of helping to have a - the features hereof, the better understanding off -ion is accompanied by a drawing in which present specificat the following is represented in the figures:

Figure 1 - It shows a plan view of the cooker plate where we can see the area where the controls are to be located as well as the positioning of the aeration grooves at its rear side.

v, 4 1 1 In view of the commented figures and in accordanc9 with the numbering used, we can observe how the cooker plate 1 is constructed in a single piece and has the ridge 2 for the protection of the area where the control are located. The controls of the cooker plate are located in the right part thereof upon a section 3 inclined downward located immediately after the protection ridge 2.

In this way. the controls are protected by the ridge 2 and thus, it is not necessary to place a protector-embellishment. This represents an economic saving. The positions of the controls may be represented on the top surface of the plate itself or else on the embellishing plate.

The cooker plate is provided with a perimetric ridge, except on the side of the controls. The ridge 4 located in the rear part and over which the aeration grooves will be made is higher. They are not visible and thus a better appearance and more cleanness are obtained. a single Hence, the cooker plate 1 is made up o. piece with a ridge 2 close to its right side, along its entire width and which serves as a separation between the burners and the controls.

Likewise, this rear ridge 4 makes it possible to incorporate, by hinges, a cover system of one or two pieces - 4 1 which will cover the work area. Thus, when the cooker' plate is not in use, the covers may be lowered so that the plate and its burners are hidden. Likewise-, depending on what burners are used, one or more of them may be hidden.

COOKER PLATE, which has two, three or four burners which may be gas and/or electric ones in any possible combination thereof, essentially characterized because the cooker plate is made out of a single piece forming on its right part and all along its width an upward ridge which extends towards the outside forming a downward slope which forms the area of the controls and which serves as a protection thereof, having foreseen that in the rear side the cooker plate has a ridge which extends backward over which the aeration grooves will be made and said grooves are not visible.
