Abstract

An electric shaver for the removal of hair, and a rotating tooth brush for the cleansing and polishing of teeth are both driven by one motor. The tooth brush is rotated by engagement of a bevel gear with splines on the brush shaft. The case containing the shaver and motor serves as a handle for the tooth brush which is of bottle brush construction.

Description

ELECTRIC SHAVER AND TOOTH BRUSH COMBINATION This invention relates to an electric shaver and rotary tooth brush.
The concept is an electric shaver which would have provision for the insertion of a rotary tooth brush. The tooth brush would be operated by the shaver motor, it would be inserted into an aperture at the bottom of the shaver, a bevelled gear wheel added to a shaver motor would engage splines on the tooth brush shaft, when the shaver was switched on the brush would rotate.
Brushes could be available in various hardness and polishing variations, the electric shaver/tooth brush combination could be operated by rechargeable or disposable batteries.
The brush would not be of the traditional shape, instead they would be on 3600 of shank rather like a superior bottle or spout brush.

Claims (1)

  1. ELECTRIC/SHAVER TOOTH BRUSH COMBINATION
    CLAIMS Combining a tooth brush with a shaver entails only the use of one motor, therefore more cost effective, a rotating tooth brush with bristles on its entire head circumference would be more efficient in its purpose, also less time consumed. The combination would weigh and occupy less than any two electric tools on the market at present. It is unique and novel.
    The action of separating or engaging the two parts would be simply push in/pull out. Being non-mains it would be safe in use.
