Abstract

In order to bring the coupling members of a towing vehicle and a towed vehicle into juxtaposition for coupling-up, a small winch is provided on one of the vehicles together with a length of cable with means for attachment to the other vehicle. By winding in the cable the coupling members are drawn towards one another. Means is provided for guiding the cable onto the winch for situations where there is wide angular separation. <IMAGE>

Description

EASY HITCH "Easy Hitch" is designed to hitch a caravan to a car so easily without any effort, by pulling the steel wire No. 1 from caravan and fixing it to the car draw bar No. 2, and by winding the handle No. 3, will pull the caravan draw bar No. 4 dead centre to car draw bar No. 2 it does'nut what position the caravan is in, unwind jockey wheel No. 5, and the two draw bars 2 and 4 comes together. No. 6 make this possible as this does the guiding for 2 to 4. This is designed to fit any caravan.

Claims (4)

1 The 'Easy Hitch' assembly comprising of a main assembly, a spindle, a length of steel cable with a hook provided at one end, a means of tensioning the spindle, the spindle being able to rotate whereby unwinding the cable when being pulled from the mechanism, a winding handle for means of retracting the cable when secured to the motor vehicle.
2 The 'Easy Hitch' as claimed in claim 1 wherein a guide is provided to guide the cable in and out of the mechanism.
3 The 'Easy Hitch' substantially reduces strenuous manual manuovring of caravan/trailer.
4 The 'Easy Hitch' as- in claim 1 where as the caravan/trailer and motor vehicle can be drawn together irrespective of distance or angle to each other.
